Jennifer Aniston and Smartwater have teamed up to create a viral video. Making a joke out of the generic viral videos, Jennifer converses on set with a group of viral marketing geeks to find out what really gets viewers hits. Cute little puppies, freak-dancing babies, double rainbows all get to be part of the laughs. In the end Jennifer asks what they should call the video, the geeks reply with “Jennifer Aniston Sex Tape?”, and we can’t help but laugh. With already over 1.4 million hits, Smartwater proves to be pretty smart with this video.
You remember when we first started to get those annoying messages from our friends about playing “Mafia Wars” and “Farmville” for the first time and the majority of us just ignored them as some passing phase. Still don’t think that these social and iphone/facebook app games are gonna have a future? With this Angry Birds birthday cake these games are now they’re becoming part of our real life more than we know if. Over 3 Million views on YouTube just for this video. Angry Birds the game had over 50 million downloads back in December, and Cityville on Facebook has over 100 Million regular users. WOW.
Do you think these types of games will sustain their popularity for much longer or be made primitive by new platforms?
Just when you thought it was safe to believe beauty can come with brains, we find out that the Rear View Cam was created as a viral campaign for Levi’s. The too hot to be true pair Reanin Johannink and Jessie Gurunathan (TV star and singer) actually were just that. Colenso BBDO is behind the video, I applaud their work by the way, and came from Levi’s San Francisco headquarters 6 months ago.
What did you think when you first saw the video, did you think it was real? Are we getting better at spotting videos that were created by corporations? Let us know what you think!
Not a Barbie and Ken fan but its hard to ignore the creative use of social media and potential for viral in this Valentine’s Day campaign.
The world’s largest toy company have turned to social media to release the new “Sweet Talkin’ Ken” doll and celebrate Ken’s 50th anniversary. The campaign is based around a drive to reunite Barbie and Ken and is centered around a website barbieandken.com which allows people to vote on whether Barbie should take Ken back.
